RealGUIDE QC Checklist

CHROME GuidedSMILE was developed for dentists who desire a preplanned, predictable guided All-On-X style surgery. This metal stackable guide coordinates implants, bone reduction, and prosthetics, with a simplified final conversion protocol.



This list is applicable to all types (standard, Combi, LITE, Natural) of CHROME Guides.
Is there a 1.5mm Spacing between the inner wall of the Fixation base and the outer bone surface?
Are the box angles and insertion direction the same?
Have all pegs/connector pieces and Osteotomy sleeve holes generated correctly and have enough material to support them?
Are all parts boolean/connected properly with no holes/intersections to avoid printing errors?
Are windows of the Pin Guide not placed over teeth to be extracted?
Was the pin guide constructed using the proper tooth model (no partials or other temporary appliances on teeth)?
Is there enough coverage to ensure the pin guide is stable?
Do distal extensions on Fixation Guides and Osteotomy Guides (not exceeding 10mm from Distal most implants) need to be cut to ensure fit intraorally?
For lower cases, has ample space been trimmed away (if necessary) from Fixation Guides around the lower nerves, and do the guides not intersect the nerves?
Have the boxes on the Fixation Guide that intersect and protrude past the front of a pin sleeve been trimmed?
Are the rear boxes on Fixation Guides distal to furthest pin sleeves, unless the pin sleeve is located distal to the furthest implant?
Are the lock holes on the Fixation guide not obstructed?
Have all pin sleeves on fixation guide been inspected to ensure the faces are not buried in the base?
Does the Osteotomy Guide have pin sleeves that extend above the reduction line?
Have Osteotomy Guide sleeves been trimmed below the reduction line if they extend below the platform?
Are Osteotomy Guide sleeves correctly angled, and are the nubs on the angled sleeves correctly oriented?
Are bar connectors on Osteotomy Guides not too close to the top or bottom of Osteotomy Sleeves?
Do carrier guides have the correct notch placement for angled abutments?
Do carrier guides have pegs for prosthetic seating (N/A for Combiguide cases)?
Are all parts labeled with the case number and pan number? (For CHROME LABS cases, guides only need to be labeled with case numbers)
Are there no holes in the mesh for each guide?


This list applies to Combiguide cases specifically.
Is there a carrier guide designed for cases with angled abutments, or in some cases, are carriers requested without angled abutments?
For Grammetry carrier guides, are angled abutments (if any) correctly marked, and are labels randomly embossed around the surface of the carrier guide?


This list applies to cases that require a prosthetic (all BUT Combiguide).
Do the holes in the prosthetics avoid creating gaps between teeth or extending past the facial/buccal of the teeth, which is usually acceptable ONLY for Rapid Prosthetics for C2F cases?
Do the holes in the prosthetics refrain from punching through the lingual end, as this would create structural issues, ensuring that the holes exit ONLY through the top and bottom of the Prosthetic?
Are the pegs securing the prosthetic to the carriers not placed too distal (further than the 1st bicuspid) or too close together labially, considering peg placement depends on Prosthetic holes, if possible?
Do the peg holes avoid creating holes through the teeth, top of the prosthetic, or intersecting with the prosthetic holes?
Are Prosthetics (unless noted otherwise) trimmed 10mm distal to furthest implants?
Have notes/case checklist/CHROME lab preference list been checked to ensure C2F prosthetics are designed when needed?
Do prosthetic holes for C2F prosthetics avoid creating any other holes, as indicated in the checks above?


This list applies to CHROME LITE cases.
Is the reduction/fixation base the correct thickness and height (6mm thick, 7mm high) as LITE cases must be thicker since they are printed in plastic?
If the sleeve supports intersect, do the intersections not affect drilling access (either in the sleeve hole itself or the tops of the sleeves)?
Do the nubs for angled sleeves cover most, if not the entire length of the sleeve?


This list applies to CHROME Natural cases.
Is there enough space for the supportive bar to fit into the prosthetic?
Do the osteotomy guide, prosthetic, and rapid have arched connecting arms to leave space around bone and tissue?
If a scallop guide is needed or requested, is the spacing around the bone ample?
Is there enough supportive material around the prosthetic bar, and is the bar not showing through the prosthetic anywhere, as this will create holes in the prosthetic?


This list applies ONLY to CHROME guides made for Edentulous cases.
For upper cases, is a palate window cut into the Pin Guide for seating?
On double edentulous cases, is there an index of bite on one of the arches?
Was the pin guide made using the Pts scan appliance NOT the prosthetic setup?
